Customs Rules

Import regulations::

Free import by passengers of 18 years of age and over:
- 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco;
- 1 quart of wine or spirits;
- 115 milliliters of perfume;
- personal effects for visitors up to max. XCD 5,000.- per adult and CXD 2,500.- per child. For residents up to max. XCD 50.- per adult or XCD 25.- per child.

Arms and Ammunition regulations::

Import of firearms is not allowed.

Wild Fauna and Flora::

Any plant or plant products require an import permit from the Anguillan Agriculture Department and a phytosanitary certificate from the country of origin.

Pets::

Cats and dogs must be accompanied by:
- a veterinarian good health certificate issued within 2 weeks prior to arrival; and
- a rabies inoculation certificate, issued at the point of origin within 6 weeks prior to arrival; and

Advance notice to the station manager on Anguilla of the transporting airlines is necessary, also in case of transit.

Baggage Clearance regulations::

Baggage is cleared at the airport of final destination in Anguilla, if it is labeled accordingly.
Exempt: baggage of transit passengers with a destination outside Anguilla, if it is labeled to that destination.
Note: Some carriers do not permit through labeling of baggage. In that case baggage is cleared at each transit stop in Anguilla where passengers disembark.



Airport Embarkation Tax

Departure Tax is levied on passengers leaving Anguilla: USD 20.- or XCD 53.-.
Children from 5 up to/incl. 11 years old: USD 10.- or XCD 26.50.
Place of payment: airport of departure on Anguilla.
Exempt:
1. Children under 5 years of age;
2. Holders of diplomatic passports.



Currency rules

Same regulations as for export apply.

Currency Export regulations:

Local currency (East Caribbean Dollar-XCD) and foreign currencies: unlimited, if a declaration has been made upon arrival.
